Italy has won its first World Cup of Golf this week after a gripping final few holes eventually saw them the winners by one shot over the defending champions Sweden and the pre-tournament favourites Ireland at the Mission Hills Golf Club in China.
The Italian team of Edoardo Molinari and his brother Francesco have been in fine form in 2009, Edoardo dominating the Challenge Tour in Europe and just last week defeating Robert Karlsson in a playoff to win the Dunlop Phoenix in Japan while Francesco has just completed his best season in Europe. No, we are not going to speculate whether Tiger Woods is feeling under par or whether his marriage to Elin Nordegren has run into a bunker, nor will we regurgitate the denied reports of extramarital liaisons and assaults that are clogging up celebrity websites and golf blogs. (Is there anything duller in the universe than a man called Mike who sits at home writing a blog about golf?)

PUMA announced at the 2009 Soboba Classic that twenty-year old golfer Rickie Fowler, who just turned professional, has joined the sportlifestyle brand’s roster of world-class athletes. To celebrate, PUMA welcomed Fowler to the family by surprising him with a customized, motocross-inspired golf cart.

I came across iseekgolf.com when I first moved to Queensland in July 2008. It’s a fantastic site that provides, the latest news, equipment reviews, course reviews, golf school, forums, a tipping competition, forums, a course directory (Australia wide) and most importantly (for me anyway) the ability to book your game of golf online (for participating courses).
The site also provides discounted green fees for some of the courses when bookimg online.
iseekgolf.com is a great site – check it out!! – http://www.iseekgolf.com/
